Boshkeh ("we", "our", or "the app") is a calendar application designed to help users manage their schedules with support for both Gregorian and Shamsi (Jalali) calendars. By using the Boshkeh application, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name from Google. This is used for authentication and to manage your premium status or public event submissions.
• Personal Calendar Events: Private events you create are stored locally on your device or synced with your Google Account. We do not store these on our own servers.
• Public Events & Media: If you have a Creator subscription and create "Public Events," the event details (title, description, location, date, category) and any uploaded posters are stored on our Firebase Firestore and Storage servers to be shared with other Boshkeh users.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data & Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous information about how the app is used (e.g., feature usage, session duration) to help us improve the experience.
• Advertising ID: For users on the free tier, we use Google AdMob to show advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and usage data for advertising purposes.
• Location Data (Country Detection Only): With your permission, the app detects your country to display relevant national holidays. GPS coordinates are discarded immediately after determining your country code.
• Device Settings: We read your device's language and timezone to provide a localized experience.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide core calendar and holiday functionality.
• Facilitate the creation and discovery of Public Events.
• Manage premium subscriptions via RevenueCat.
• Deliver push notifications for event reminders and updates.
• Improve app performance via anonymous analytics.
• Show advertisements (for free-tier users).

Data Storage & Security

• Private Data: Stored locally on your device and/or your Google Account.
• Public Data: Public events you publish are stored in Google Firebase and are visible to all Boshkeh users.
• Cloud Services: We use a Cloudflare Worker as a secure gateway to manage premium access and broadcast notifications.

Your Choices

• Permissions: You can revoke location or notification permissions at any time in device settings.
• Data Deletion: Private local data is removed upon uninstallation. Public Events can be deleted within the app.
• Ad Personalization: You can opt-out of personalized ads through your device settings.
